Trip Part 1: Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro

   We are the first in the world to offer the ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro with those who cannot walk on regularly scheduled trips, and we invite everyone to join our effort to take those who cannot walk to Mount Kilimanjaro’s highest Uhuru summit.
   The ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa's highest peak) is recognized as one of the most famous and challenging hikes in the world.
   Of the mountain’s famous trails, we will ascend to the summit on the Marangu Route, through five separate climatic zones. Not only does this route provide spectacular views, challenging hiking, and a trail-side hut system, but it is also now the safest route on the mountain.

   It is important to approach any expedition on Kilimanjaro with an experienced guide service.
   Alpenglow Adventures' Director guided the very first American group ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro, has led more than 250 people to the highest Uhuru Summit (98% success rate), and will be the trip leader on your journey with Alpenglow Adventures.
   Additionally, Alpenglow Adventures has taken the very first person, who cannot walk and needed full assistance, to the highest Uhuru summit of Mount Kilimanjaro on December 8, 2008. But even more important than the Alpenglow team's experience is that of the mountain guide service Alpenglow uses while on the mountain: ZARA Tours.
   ZARA is the most reputable guide service on Kilimanjaro with over 20 years of experience leading climbs. They also built, own and manage the Springland Hotel (where you will stay before the hike) and the High View Hotel/Game Safari Lodge (where you will stay during Trip Part 2).

   The Alpenglow team is looking for adventurous and motivated individuals to help us continue to make history by running trips in which individuals who cannot walk are brought to this spectacular mountain summit.

Trip Part 2: Safari & National Parks

   Perhaps the two greatest resources the outdoor world offers are spectacular views and beautiful wildlife. And there are only a handful of places in the world where you can experience both in such close proximity to each other as you can in Tanzania.
   After completing one of the most scenic and impressive hikes on the planet, your trip with Alpenglow Adventures will culminate with an equally impressive three day game safari.
   In Ngorongoro Crater you will encounter the densest population of wildlife in Africa, hopefully catch a glimpse of the rare black rhino, and experience why Ngorongoro is called 'Africa's Garden of Eden'.

After a day of searching for great populations of elephants and birds in beautiful Tarangire National Park, legends of nature truly come to life in Lake Manyara. It is in this National Park where there is a chance to see the rare and special occurrence of tree-climbing lions, which will culminate the trip of a lifetime.
Each night of Trip Part 2 will be spent in the ZARA built and owned High View Hotel/Game Safari Lodge. And the days will be spent with Simba Safari, who is the oldest safari service in Tanzania.

Trip Price Includes*:
Lodging	-4 nights (double occupancy) at the High View Hotel in Karatu, Tanzania
	-1 night (double occupancy) at the Springland Hotel in Moshi, Tanzania
	-Hut fees for 4 nights in group huts while on the trail (Mandara and Horombo Huts)
Food	-All guides and cooks while on trail and on safari
Food	-26 meals either prepared by cooks on the trail or in the Hotel Restaurant
Porters	-Six porters per participant in TrailRider or Kili-Kart
Porters	-Two porters per all other participants
Transport	-All transportation beginning and ending at Kilimanjaro Airport
Transport	-Open top vehicle and window seat for Safari
Fees	-All National Park Entrance Fees
Protection	-Trip Liability Insurance (different than "Trip Cancellation Insurance", or similar, which we recommend each participant purchases on their own)
Protection	-Rescue Evacuation Insurance policy for Mt. Kilimanjaro that will cover any needed evacuation off the mountain, transportation by Ranger vehicle five miles to the Park Gate, and flight to the hospital in Nairobi, Kenya if needed.
Special	-A partial "adventurership" for a child or adult with a disability (or a family member or caregiver) to participate on a future Alpenglow Adventure.
